Since I am staying in a host family, my roommate Nancy and I had to create a little profile about ourselves to send to them. So here is my portion of the application:
Hello, my name is Alicia Sciolino. I am nineteen years old and
attend Nazareth College for Spanish and International Stuides. I want to learn
Chinese. I hope to be a translator. I am from Buffalo, NY. I
live with my mother, my father, my sister Katie, my dog and three cats. Also, I
have two horses. I like to ride my horse Stormy, read books and play my
violin. I play the viola, too. I have allergies and asthma but I
have medication. I am organized, intelligent and friendly.

Desde yo estoy viviendo con una familia, mi compañera de cuarto, Nancy, y yo hicimos una descripción sobre nos vidas. Aquí es mi parte:
Hola, me llamo Alicia
Sciolino. Tengo diecinueve años y asisto a la universidad de Nazareth
para el español y los estudios internacionales. Quiero aprender la lengua
del china. Espero ser un traductor. Soy de Buffalo, Nueva York. Yo
vivo con mi madre, mi padre, mi hermana Katie, mi perro y tres gatos.
También, tengo dos caballos. Me gusta montar mi caballo Stormy, leer los
libros y tocar mi violín. Toco la viola, también. Tengo alergias y
asma pero tengo medicación. Soy muy organizada, inteligente y amable.
